I've been thinking about this for a couple of years. I would like to see kickers and defenses to remain in the pool during the late cut periods in weeks 9 and 10. It's tough late in the year when you have a kicker or defense on a bye week and you have a tough cut. It's easier to cut the kicker or defense and try to buy them back. Sometimes you own a top kicker and have no other players you would like to drop. A team owning a late kicker/defense isn't on the same playing field with an owner who has early bye weeks for those positions.
